How to negotiate your salary.  Arguably the most important skill we need to develop.  Our salaries:

  • Provide the means to support our families and allow us to live the standard of living we desire
  • Ensure that we are properly compensated for our time and skills

For those transitioning from the military, this is a foreign concept as our salaries are dictated by congress and service policies.  However, this is not the case in both the public or private sector.  In this session we will provide you the tools to:

  • Negotiate the compensation for an initial job offer to include
    • Financial compensation
    • Benefits
      • Vacation days
      • Bonuses
    • Insurance
      • Health
      • Short-Term Disability
  • Negotiate a raise
    • Approaching your superiors for a raise
    • The required research you must do to be successful

Join us and our guest Erika Schreiner for what will be a very informative session.  Erika is a director with Fedsoft and has placed several of our graduates in exciting positions throughout the DMV.  She has extensive experience negotiating salaries and understands the unique backgrounds of our alumni.
