We are hosting our first annual picnic!
Though COVID may not be in full retreat, its defeat is just around the corner. The CDC has eased regulations for fully vaccinated and at the time of this writing, Virginia is permitting groups of up to 100 people. Virginia may expand that figure to 250 people in the very near future. The picnic is not limited to the vaccinated. All are welcome as we will abide by COVID regulations.
In order to adhere to COVID guidelines, there are two calendar events for this one picnic. The first is from 1200 to 1430, the second from 1430 to 1700. Please be sure to double check to ensure you register for the times you'd like.
After a year of varying levels of lockdown, we are all eager to get out and spend time with one another. Join us at Fort Hunt National Park in Fort Hunt, VA on May 16th, in picnic area Pavillion A-001 (pictured above).
The band Black Moon Tonic, a high school classic rock cover band, will play from 1500 to 1700.
Typical cookout food will be available such as burgers, dogs, salads, cookies. Along with standard beverages: water, sports drinks, sodas, beer and wine.
We encourage alumni to wear warfare specific apparel such as ball caps, organizational shirts and the like!
There is a small fee to help offset costs. Each registration is limited to a party of 4. Children under 5 eat for free.
We welcome current Midshipmen, USNA Midshipmen parents, and future Midshipman candidates. However, registration is reserved exclusively for members through Wednesday May 5th and will then be opened up to others.
