As you well know, the 121st Army Navy Football game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, December 12th, 2020.  Kickoff time is 15:30.  This the first time since World War II that the game will be played at a home stadium of either team.  And since it will be played at the home stadium of the West Point cadets, we must "rally in force" our Navy Midshipmen to victory.

The USNA Alumni Association of Greater Washington DC board released a survey on how best to support the desires of the members in hosting an Army Navy Football Game watch party.  For those that responded with your recommendations, thank you.  It was clear from the survey results, as well as the recent increase protection measures being prescribed across the Nation, that we, in an abundance of caution, must support our Midshipmen virtually vice put each other and our families at risk needlessly.  As the mantra goes - Mission first, People always.

Please join us in cheering on the Midshipmen by watching the game from your favorite couch or haunt and linking into our Zoom Party where we can cheer our Academy on together and share a song that is all near and dear to our hearts in the end.  May Navy Blue and Gold be the last song sung:

Zoom Virtual Watch Party - 15:00 EST - Zoom Link will be distributed the week of the game to all who have registered.

USNA Alumni Association is hosting a forum for junior and mid-career alumni on the pro's and con's of joining one or more of the various professional organizations open to professionals across the sea services and associated government and commercial organizations. Whether you are a natural joiner, organizer or self-sufficient individual, this topic is valuable irrespective of your career considerations.

We have put together a talented and experienced panel of professional organization leaders including:

    • Tim Oliver, the Executive Director of the Naval Submarine League (NSL - a Naval Warfare Specialty focused professional organization)
    • Dale Lumme, the Executive Director of the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE - a Naval Engineering focused professional organization), and
    • Zdenka Willis, the President of the Marine Technology Society (MTS – a marine technology focused professional organization)
Our three panelists will be given time to introduce themselves, their professional organizations, and provide comments on their experience (pro's and con's) with professional organizations throughout their illustrious careers. The remainder of the approximate one to one and a half hour will be provided for questions and answers from those attending.

We look forward to your attendance and participation!
